Expressions of Hope Opens New Resource Center in Napa
Napa, CA - Expressions of Hope is proud to announce the opening of its new Resource Center at 2020 Jefferson St, Napa, as of May 2024. This move marks a significant expansion in our ability to support foster, adoptive, kinship, and at-risk families within the Napa community and beyond.
A Growing Need for Space and Services
The decision to develop a new Resource Center was driven by the increasing demand for our services and the need for a larger, more functional space. Previously, our Resource Center operated out of a modest 1,500 square foot facility, which had become insufficient for our growing collection of resources, meeting spaces, and staff needs. In our new 4,000 square foot facility, we have expanded from just one office to five, significantly improving our capacity to serve the community.
A Journey of Growth and Expansion
Expressions of Hope began its journey with a humble setup, operating out of a shipping container, a storage unit, a shed, and even a garage before opening our first Resource Center in 2016 in a small business area of Napa. For the past several years, we rented space on the property of a local church, where we were able to establish our presence in the community. However, as our organization grew, it became clear that a larger, more dedicated space was essential to meet the increasing needs of the families we serve.
Enhanced Facilities and Services
The new Resource Center offers more than just additional square footage. With five offices, we can now accommodate our growing staff and provide more personalized support to families in need. The additional meeting spaces allow us to host larger gatherings, workshops, and support groups, further enhancing the services we provide.
While we have fully moved out of our previous location, we continue to have additional spaces for storing furniture and larger items. This ensures that we can continue to provide essential resources like dressers and clothing to families who need them.
Supporting the Community
Our new Resource Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and we gladly accept donations during these hours. We kindly request that all donations be clean and in good, usable condition. Currently, there is a particular need for clothing for older children and teens, as well as dressers in good condition. For larger items, we encourage donors to call ahead or email a photo to staff@eohfamilies.org to ensure we can accommodate the donation.
