How Expressions of Hope Serves Foster Families
At Expressions of Hope, we recognize the challenges that come with being part of a foster-resource or adoptive family, as well as the difficulties faced by families in crisis. Our dedicated programs are designed to support these families, ensuring they receive the necessary help and community connection to thrive. Here’s how we serve our families:
Emergency Response & Family Preservation Support
We work closely with the child welfare department to serve families struggling and at risk of losing their child.
By responding to requests from the Emergency Response and Family Preservation Departments, we assist with tangible needs that help defuse crisis situations.
Many times, it is providing basic needs such as food, gas, clothing, furniture, and cleaning supplies.
Kinship Support:
We are proud to say we are now able to serve all Kinship families in Napa.
These are families where relatives take care of children within the family. We provide the same services to Kinship families as we do for foster families, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to care for their relatives.
Encouraging Community Support:
We advocate for a proactive approach where community members reach out to foster and adoptive families they know.
Asking about their experiences, acknowledging their challenges and victories, and offering practical support can buoy the spirits of those doing the hard work of fostering or adopting. Whether it's offering to babysit, cooking a meal, or just lending an ear, these supportive actions are invaluable.
Streamlining Support:
