As a Volunteer and Board Member at EOH, Sanna takes on various responsibilities to maintain the facility's functionality.

From sorting donations and fulfilling requests to purchasing necessary items and cleaning donated items, she diligently ensures that the inventory is managed efficiently. Sanna also takes charge of assembling the Bags of Hope program and manages the associated donations, contributing to the program's success.

Sanna finds immense fulfillment in working with foster and adoptive families because it allows her to extend her passion for helping others. Recognizing the critical need for supportive care in these families, she appreciates the opportunity that EOH provides to utilize her abilities and limitations in making a meaningful difference.

Being involved with EOH brings Sanna great joy and inspiration. She is deeply moved by the vision and compassion exhibited by Peggy Smith, the founder, and the heartwarming dedication displayed by the staff, volunteers, and social workers within the organization. Their unwavering commitment to serving the underserved community serves as a constant source of motivation for Sanna.

In terms of education and experience, Sanna brings a unique blend of expertise to her role. She is a retired CLS with a Bachelor of Arts degree in science. However, her formative training came from her meticulous mother, who ran a clothing closet during the summers of Sanna's preteen years. This early experience provided Sanna with invaluable skills and prepared her for her current position.

Sanna's dedication to her role can be encapsulated in her own words: "I am not able to foster or adopt, but I am able to come alongside those who do, to make their lives a little easier." This quote reflects her deep desire to support and assist foster and adoptive families in any way she can. Her hope is that her work, along with the collective efforts of the EOH community, will alleviate some of the burdens faced by these families and ultimately make a positive impact in their lives.
